From the Curator :

AIV5700 Gallery kicks off 2008
with local girl power painter
Anna Arnold
The gallery often focuses on
expressive paintings from local
ladies and the third year is no different !

Arnold's vibrant, colorfully expressive
works speak to a more emotive, positive
style of painting. The body of work on display
at the gallery reflects her range in mediums
through different portraits of people and relationships
in watercolor, tightly controlled color applied to
well known faces on canvas and many personal
self portraits /personalities on paper. The portrait
Anna's style speaks to the personality of the
subject and their emotive state rather than how
perfect the anatomy of the figure is painted.
She is an expressive generation x artist who
was born and raised in Cleveland, attended CIA
and is currently trying to make a living as an
artist in Cleveland, Ohio. Anna is the first artist of 2008 !
We are proud to feature her works on the walls
of AIV 5700
